Foxes

Welcome to the Foxes' Class!

During Year 3, pupils in Foxes’ class take part in a variety of learning experiences. In Year 3, Children continue to build on the core learning skills developed in KS1. Children thoroughly enjoy their learning through exploring cross curricular topics such as: ‘The Secret Garden’, ‘Blue Abyss’ and ‘Peter Pan’.

Within writing, children use a variety of texts to help develop their understanding of grammar and punctuation in line with the National Curriculum. They develop an exciting vocabulary and a wider range of writing styles. Pupils also learn about specific spelling rules, patterns and common exception words.

In Mathematics, Year 3 pupils begin to develop formal written methods of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. They further develop their knowledge of place value, time, shape, measurement, fractions and statistics. On a weekly basis they engage in reasoning and problem solving tasks.

Our class is a fun and vibrant learning environment which is stimulating and engaging for all.
